Northwest LeatherSir 2010
From the moment Sir Hugh “came out” in 1985 he felt drawn to the Leather Tribe. Joining Seattle Men in Leather (SML) five years later meant acknowledging the darker side of his sexual nature and accepting the Gay Leather traditions of an older generation with respect and pride. He endeavors to pass on these traditions to his boys.
Besides SML, Sir Hugh is proud to be a brother in the Dragon Clan. He is also a member of the Leather Archives and Museum, BLUF, and a board member of Generic Leather Productions of Washington. Most recently, he has dedicated his time to raising funds for the Tony Deblase Scholarship, benefiting students in the study of sexuality and sexual research. Over the years, he has also created and performed works for Leather events in the Northwest and around the country, drawing on his professional background in dance and theatre.
Sir Hugh has a particular fetish for the tradition of Leather masking. Fluent in Italian, he studied this centuries-old art while living in Bologna, Italy. He enjoys incorporating the techniques of this tradition into his Leatherplay.
